Using my long-time experience from compiling the most exhaustive and informed player lists for Football Manager, I can assure you this doesn't get any more accurate and comprehensive.
So, what exactly are wonderkids?
Wonderkids can be classified players with high potential ability (having at least a PA of 150) who are not older than 20 years old by July 1st, 2021, in-game.
This list features the best young players in FMM22. Some of them will already be labelled as wonderkids, others should be pretty close to getting there, and others will struggle to live up to their potential before they turn 21 years old (late bloomers).
Potential Ability Stars Explained
You will find that PA stars on this list range from 3 to 5 stars. This is a personal assessment and not necessarily in sync with what in-game scouts will tell you.
A player with 3 stars means his potential ability will be less than 160 on every save. With 4 stars, we're looking at a max PA of 160. Then 4.5 stars goes up to 170, while with 5 stars it could go all the way from 170 to the max limit of 200.

FM22 wonderkids like Karim Adeyemi, Youssoufa Moukoko or Lorenzo Lucca will either prove to be first team stars, or valuable additions to the squad that can later be sold on for huge profits that can be reinvested in your first team or club facilities.

Depending on how good the youth player is, you must try and play them at a higher level than they currently play. This could be promoting them from the U18's squad to the U'21's team, so then they would be playing a better standard of football.
The FM22 Editor allows you to change player stats, club finances, or even put yourself in as the best player in the game.
